As a Senior Artist in Toca Boca World’s content team, you’ll take a leading role in creating quirky items and colorful environments, in line with a fun and playful art style that is constantly evolving. You’ll join a creative and friendly studio, where diversity and inclusion are core values!
What you’ll be doing
As a Senior Artist, you’ll be responsible for setting a high creative standard and ensuring that the visual quality of Toca Boca World continues to delight and inspire millions of players. You’ll work closely with the Lead Artist and Art Director to shape and maintain the artistic vision of the project, while also being a role model for your peers.
You’ll create high-quality vector art assets, patterns and colour schemes, and collaborate with designers and programmers to ensure that your work integrates seamlessly with gameplay. Optimising 2D assets for performance without compromising quality will be part of your craft, as will contributing to ideation, concept development, and creative workshops.
Your role goes beyond asset creation: you’ll mentor junior artists, sharing knowledge and guiding them to reach project standards. You’ll regularly present and communicate your work to the wider team, encouraging constructive feedback and fostering collaboration across disciplines. When needed, you’ll step into leadership responsibilities, acting as a bridge between the art team and other crafts to keep workflows smooth and efficient.

Is this you?
You are an experienced 2D Artist with a strong portfolio that fits the Toca Boca World art style, and you’re highly proficient in Adobe Illustrator. You’ve worked several years in a game studio and you’re confident about taking on a senior role where both craft excellence and leadership matter.
You bring individuality and personal style to your work, while adapting to the Toca Boca Creative Principles: diversity and unisex design, quirkiness, attention to detail, and a kid’s perspective.
You'll be part of a cross-functional team where you communicate and collaborate with teammates across disciplines on a day to day basis. You can follow creative directions, while also contributing your own ideas and sharing your process in a clear and structured way.

Illustrations that show an understanding of colour and composition
Personal projects and your personal style
Your Adobe Illustrator skills

Good to know!
This position is full time and based in our Stockholm studio with a hybrid working model (part office, part working from home). We apply a 6-month probationary period. You’ll need to be located in Sweden as we are unable to support relocation. As we’re an international company, with over 20 nationalities working here, and millions of users all over the world, you need to be fluent in English. Your application should therefore be in English.
