Applications are considered on a rolling basis

At Lylli, we’re on a mission to make reading magical for children everywhere. Our app combines thousands of children’s books with personalized stories, helping families discover new ways to read, learn, and imagine together.

We’re now looking for a Senior Fullstack Developer to help us scale our platform, build delightful new features, and bring the joy of reading to millions of families worldwide.

We're a sister studio to Toca Boca, located in Östermalm.

What you'll do:
  • Lead the development of end-to-end features, from database design and APIs to frontend interfaces.

  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to turn ideas into reality.

  • Build scalable backend services (Java Spring Boot, Node.js) and polished frontend experiences (React).

  • Ensure performance, security, and reliability across the stack as we scale internationally.

  • Play an active role in architectural decisions and product strategy.

What we're looking for:
  • 5+ years of experience as a fullstack engineer, with strong skills in both backend and frontend.

  • Solid knowledge of Java and/or Node.js and preferably React.

  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or Azure), CI/CD pipelines, and scalable system design.

  • Strong understanding of relational databases and APIs (Postgres).

  • A product-driven mindset – you care about usability, performance, and making the experience magical for the end user.

  • Bonus: Experience with mobile development, audio streaming, or content-heavy platforms.

Who you are:
  • You enjoy taking ownership and thrive in a fast-moving startup environment.

  • You’re passionate about clean, maintainable code and engineering excellence.

  • You love collaborating across functions and helping teammates grow.

  • Most importantly: You want to use your skills to get more kids to love reading.

What we offer:
  • A central role in shaping one of Europe’s fastest-growing children’s reading platforms.

  • The opportunity to influence both product and technical direction.

  • A playful, collaborative, and international team.
